Starting Fall 2020, Microfarm has collaborated with the year-long experiential learning course in the Department of Nutritional Sciences (NTR 365) led by professor Michele Hockett Cooper. They held 2 classes at the farm (following all Covid protocols) to learn the basics of horticulture (e.g. weeding, planting, thinning, composting) in one of our community plots, and filmed virtual garden lessons to share with elementary school classes. Contact Professor Cooper at mhcooper@utexas.edu for any questions.
