Like being outside? Think protecting the natural environment is important? Want to be a part of environmental action at UT? Believe environmental issues are oftentimes large and best addressed through collective action and respectful conversation? If any of those was a “yes,” you should join us.
Campfires (a.k.a general meetings) are open to all current and prospective members. At these, we have discussions, get updates on upcoming opportunities, and hear from guest speakers on a variety of topics. (and we usually have snacks, too.)
Some of the CEC’s Project Teams need volunteers, both individuals and groups, to help with their specific goals and programs! You don’t have to be a CEC member to take advantage of these opportunities to get involved in environmental action.
The CEC is student-driven, and we need your help in advancing environmental causes in our community! The CEC is led by our Core Teams and Project Teams. Both types of teams typically have one or two Team Leaders and any number of Team Members. Towards the beginning and end of every semester, Team Member spots open up for new applicants.
