About Our Program
We accept all size toner, ink, copier, laser printer, and fax machine cartridges. We also accept all mobile phones, personal printer cartridges, rechargeable batteries, non-rechargeable batteries, and CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs). All of the money raised goes to fund student-run environmental projects, like litter cleanups, on-campus gardens, and aluminum and plastic recycling.

How to Start Recycling Your Ink Cartridges
First, pick a spot to collect ink catridges - this can be anywhere such as a desk, drawer, cabinet, or box. Put up a "Recycle Here" flyer in a clearly visible place near your ink cartridge dropoff spot.
Then post this flyer in your break room and copy room to let everyone in your office know how they can dispose of their ink cartridges. Put your name in the box as the contact person. That's it! Then just fill out the form online to schedule a pickup.
Why recycle ink cartridges?
Each year, over 300 million ink cartridges are consumed in the United States. A small fraction of empty ink cartridges are recycled, but many more end up in landfills. Leaking ink from used cartridges can pollute the environment, and the plastic they're made of will take many generations to decompose.

Campus Environmental Center
Collect the cartridges in your office and then click here to schedule a pickup.
Money raised supports student-run environmental programs at UT.
University Mail Services
Drop the cartridge in the mail with a note that says “recycle.”
Money raised goes into the UT budget.
Office Depot
Give cartridges to Central Receiving drivers when they drop off orders.
Provides no money back to UT.
External Vendor
Call TCS at 458-3506 and they will do a pickup at your office.
Provides no money back to UT.
