Indoor FAQ
First, thank you for recycling! The program is student and volunteer run, so things may not always run perfectly, and we appreciate your time and effort. Here are the most frequently asked questions:
When can I expect breaks in service?
Because our recycling drivers are student workers, they do not work during breaks. There is no recycling pickup over winter break, spring break, in mid-May when school ends, or in mid-August before school starts. We apologize for the breaks, but this is the best we can do with a low-cost and volunteer-run program.
Our recycling bag was not picked up. What should I do?
If this should happen, let us know by emailing Indoor@UTenvironment.org, and we will make sure that it is picked up.
I think our custodial staff is throwing our recyclables away. What should I do?
The custodial staff in general are aware of our program, though some individual people may not know. Try talking with your custodial staff or their crew leader if you are having problems. Here are SPANISH and ENGLISH signs that might help.
