Outreach & Publicity

Our Outreach and Publicity Committees are a key part of the CEC. They are the backbone that helps make our meeting, projects, and events a success. Outreach focuses on involving other organizations and students in our projects and goals while simulatanerously raising awareness on campus about environmental issues and the CEC as an organization. Publicity on the other hand works on advertising campaigns with specific events and projects and works with our Graphic Designers to come up with effective and visually appealing advertising campaigns.

For the 2011-2012 school year Outreach will host a recruitment and retention event every semester. Recruitment events are ways to welcome and invite new members whereas retention events are designed for current members to get to know other members.

Fall 2011:

-Recruitment event- Amazing Sustainability Race September 21st from 6pm-8pm. We will meet in front of the tower instead of having our usual meeting. Then, we will split into groups of 6 and follow clues around campus to find out about sustainability on campus. The team to complete the race the fastest will receive a sustainable goodie bag and everyone that participates gets free ice cream!

Sign up to participate in the Amazing Race by yourself or with a group of up to 6 people. Please keep in mind that if your group is smaller than 6 you may be paired with other groups.
