To fill out the application nest semester, go to: CEC Leadership Application. However, once again this application is closed until next semester.
A leadership position with the Campus Environmental Center is a great way to get involved with environmental issues and to make a significant difference at UT. The Campus Environmental Center has been incredibly successful, and you can be a part of that! As a CEC leader, you will learn a lot and connect with great people who are also excited about environmental issues. All of our positions are excellent ways to make a concrete difference, have fun, and build leadership skills! Any student, whether just starting out at UT or graduate student, can be a CEC leader. We have a training program for less experienced leaders, so don't let a lack of experience prevent you from applying! All you need is the motivation to help the environment and campus. Here's what some of our past leaders have moved on to after CEC:
- Leading a state-wide coalition of youth environmental activists;
- Advising companies as a full-time sustainability consultant;
- Organizing field work for better knowledge in sustainability;
- Serving in administrative roles in campus sustainability;
- Starting your own campus initiative.
And those are just a few examples!
