Extended Sierra Club "Best Internship" Deadline

The Best Internship on Earth is an annual summer program uniting young adults with a passion for the environment with community outreach programs that focus on outdoor experiences. The young adult selected as the 2012 Outdoor Youth Ambassador will travel around the country with Sierra Club's Mission Outdoors programs, and document these experiences for the Sierra Club and The North Face. Forth Worth Zoo "Conservation Expeditions"

The Forth Worth Zoo is currently offering two "Conservation Expeditions" this summer (from May 24 to June 1 & June 5 to 13) where interested students can gain critical conservation and research experience in the field. The trip entails studying the critically endangered Anegada Iguana in the British Virgin Islands. TREIA's Texas Renewable Jobs Board 

TREIA represent over 500 member companies, orgaizations, and individuals providing products, services, and information in the area of solar electric generation, solar hot water, large and small-scale wind   electric generation, biomas electric generation, and liquid renewable fuels, geothermal heating and cooling, geothermal electric generation, and sustainable (green) building design and construction. They       have a large amount of jobs posted on their Job Board so go here to check them out.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Oxfam America 

Oxfam CHANGE Leader or Action Corps 

There are currently two different positions available at Oxfam, including the ability to become a CHANGE leader or an Action Corps volunteer. 

The Oxfam Action Corps is a group of dedicated volunteers in more than a dozen US cities who work alongside other local volunteer in support of our GROW capaign to change laws that can save lives, defend the rights of women and farmers, and protect communities worldwide from rising food prices and climate change. It includes a free national advocacy and leadership training for select participants. You will gain leadership skills, have fuun, and change the world. Oxfam America is also accepting applications for the CHANGE Initiative, Oxfam's national student leadership and organizing program. To become a CHANGE leader, you must be in your sophomore or junior year and applications are due on April 2, 2012. Selected students participate in a week-long training in Boston, July 21-27, 2012, which is organized and paid for by Oxfam. Students must agree to join or form an Oxfam Club and implement an Oxfam campaign on campus during the 2012-13 academic year, as well as communicate regularly with Oxfam staff about their work.   For more information, go here.

Green Air Project Campus Rep

Green Air Project (GAP) is committed to helping everyday people offset their harsh impact on the environment in one of the most sustainable and positive ways: by planting trees. Be a Campus Rep for GAP and lead sustainability initiatives for students, faculty, staff, and alumni, spearhead GAP Campus Challenges against top colleges and univiersities, compete to win an amazing tropical eco-tour, liasion with GAP headquarters and other Campus Reps, and make a major impact cleaning the air we breathe.
