Mission Statement

The mission of the Campus Environmental Center is to empower The University of Texas at Austin community to reduce its negative environmental impact and to foster a genuine culture of sustainability on campus through collaborative and constructive means. In pursuit of this mission Campus Environmental Center engages in projects, programs, campaigns, and group activities that strive to achieve the following:

• Collaborate with The University of Texas entities and off-campus partners to foster change in policy and practice toward a more environmentally sustainable campus;
• Educate the student body and University community about environmental sustainability issues; and
• Develop knowledgeable and skilled leaders through direct participation in Campus Environmental Center events, classes, and programs.
